The Vincent’s

Lexi Lynn turns NINE!

My big girl turned NINE this weekend and I can’t even believe it. It seems like just yesterday she was born and now she’s nine. It hurts my heart to think that in another nine years she will likely be leaving us to go start her own life adventure. I mean if these last nine years went that quickly then I can’t even imagine the next nine. Anyhow, enough of that sad talk for now. Let’s talk about how much fun we had on her birthday celebrating!

I’m trying to ease the kids away from a big party and lean more to a special day with a friend or two. It didn’t work with Abram this year but Lexi was down for it! She decided very quickly that she wanted to do a girls shopping day and lunch with her besties Bella and Addy. So off we went to to shop and lunch.

I wanted everything to be extra special for Lexi so when she woke up that morning she had a little extra gift. This gift included an outfit for the day complete with matching bracelets and jackets! I may have been more excited than she was about it but that’s okay. Ha!! We got dressed and headed out to pick up Yaya. We left the middle kids at home so we could focus on Lexi. Bella, Addy and their moms were meeting us at Lakeside.

It was so much fun! Seeing the girls browsing together was just adorable. They ended up getting little matching bracelets to remember their special day together. We had lunch at the food court (which was perfect because they had something for everyone) and all the girls chose Raising Cane’s. After lunch our friends all had to leave so we stayed a little longer to finish shopping. Lexi built two new friends at Build A Bear.

On our way home we had to stop by Walmart and stop to pick up our cake for the evening festivities. It just so happened that Lafitte was having a boat parade so the kids were all going to go do that. We rushed home, loaded everyone up and out they went. They all had THE BEST time. Honestly though, the adults had just as much fun, if not more. When they got home we rounded out the night with cake and ice cream with family and framily before we fell into bed. The gorgeous cake was by my friend Morgan (Cakes by Morgan on Facebook) if you’re local!

Happy birthday to our sweetest little Lexi Lynn. We love you so much, cupcake baby! Can’t imagine life without and so thankful for you!
