Hey friends!! This post is a little late but better late than never, right? I love seeing all the adorable classroom parties the schools do and I was kinda sad my kids didn’t get to participate. So what’s a homeschool mom to do? Create her own, of course! So we invited a few friends over and had a brunch play date. The kids had a blast, there was yummy food and the moms got to chat so there was fun all around.
I recently built a backdrop holder (thank you, Pinterest) and bought a backdrop so I was really excited to use that. I also knew I wanted to incorporate my Valentine’s themed tree and my favorite-a balloon garland! I just love making those. They’re so fun to get creative with and really spruce up a party on a budget and without too much effort.
We usually do chicken nuggets or hot dogs and mac n cheese so this time I wanted to switch it up. We went with brunch- sausage, egg cups, homemade biscuits, donuts and of course plenty of sweets.
I had the kids bring Valentine’s to swap with each other and we decorated little bags to carry our goodies home. It was such a sweet time and I can’t wait to host our next holiday party- Easter, anyone?
